AWD Courses
Summer AWD
AWD is offered during the summer semesters in the minimester format. Each section being offered in either Summer 1 or Summer 2 will run only in that semester. All sections will have various summer sequences. Please contact Linda Collins, the English Department's Administrative Specialist, for more information.
Online AWD
Online ENGL 3301, a version of Advanced Writing in the Disciplines run through Blackboard, is offered each fall, spring, and summer to students on co-op. Students who are not on co-op, but who can make a convincing case for needing the online course may also be admitted. Online AWD is not, however, a way to add an overload course in a busy term if a student is on campus, they must take a classroom AWD course.
Students interested in online AWD must fill out an application form. Please see the Online AWD section of the AWD web site for more information.
AWD at Night
Each semester, there is at least one section of AWD that runs in the evening, typically two nights a week, from 6:00-7:40.
Any student on a local co-op can take AWD at night. Please contact Linda Collins, the English Department's Administrative Specialist, for more information about registering for the course.
Hybrid AWD
Hybrid AWD courses are no longer offered in Summer sessions.
